Young Couple win $23.3 million in $70 million Powerball Jackpot
Currently planning their wedding, a young Cockburn couple had no clue they had bought an entry in a lottery jackpot draw and that they could potentially get a slice of the $70 million lotto prize on offer.
The groom chose his lucky numbers randomly and on the evening of the lottery draw his fiancée tagged him via Facebook announcing that someone in Western Australia were the lotto winners.
After finding out they had won $23.3 million winning the lottery the couple couldn’t believe it and said it felt like a dream.
Only having won up to $48 in the past, the new multimillionaires are looking forward to putting some money from their lottery win towards a first class overseas vacation and towards their upcoming nuptials.
Having always looked out for family and friends, they are keen to continue to do so, but perhaps a little more so than in the past.
There were three winners in the draw with the other winning tickets sold in Queensland and New South Wales. You too could be a winner, why not get your entry in today.
In lottery news, this $23.3 million prize is the fourth largest Lotto win in Western Australian history, when just four months ago a family held the lottery winning numbers in the $50 million Powerball prize – the largest ever won in the State.
